No utopia is predicted rather, a way of structuring society in more peaceful, equitable, and sustainable ways is envisioned.ĭuring this stay-at-home time of COVID, dive into a rich conversation about how partnership systems were a part of our human cultural heritage and how they can be re-implemented as viable social systems to create a more caring and conscious society. Caring and humane values offer a partnership alternative with deep roots in the pre-patriarchy paradigm of cultural evolution. Eisler will trace this tension in Western culture from prehistory to the present.ĭespite old narratives about an inherently flawed humanity, more and more evidence shows humanity is not doomed to perpetuate patterns of violence and oppression.
